Numerous embodiments describe techniques and systems that can be used to establish wireless connections between an command device and remote devices using one or more wireless channels. The intention code could be generated prior to or after the wireless connection is established. Based on this code, the remote device could be selected. A wireless transfer of an intention code may be initiated by the command device via one or more channels of the wireless network that is in place. The remote device then will receive an acknowledgement that the code has been successfully transferred to it. The remote device will be controlled by the command device by using the intention code transferred to it by one or more channels that are connected to the wireless link between the command device and the remote.
In the last few years, the use of wireless and mobile technologies have seen rapid growth. This growth has been fueled by improved communications, hardware, and more robust protocols. Now wireless service providers can offer customers an ever-expanding range of services and features. They also provide unprecedented levels of resources, information and communications. Mobile electronic devices, such as cell phones, watches remote controls, headphones and other mobile devices, are constantly being designed to keep pace with the latest technological advancements. have become smaller, faster and more feature-rich than ever. Many of these devices now have impressive processing capabilities, large memories, and radios/circuitry for wirelessly sending and receivinginformation.
Wireless technologies have also improved over the past several years. Many homes and offices are moving to wireless local area networks (“WLANs”), which is replacing wired networks. Bluetooth.RTM is an instance of wireless technologies. WirelessFidelity (“Bluetooth”), WirelessFidelity (“Wi-Fi”) or other Wi-Fi versions (e.g. Wi-Fi Direct) provide high-speed wireless communication between electronic devices of mobile (e.g. Cell phones and watches, headphones, remote controls, etc.) which are located within short distances from one another(e.g., 100 to 200 meters or less based on the specific wireless technology).
Wi-Fi is a way to transfer data between devices that have access points (e.g. A router or other devices that have Wi-Fi connectivity. These include smart TVs, thermostats and laptops. They also include Google Home, Amazon Echo, Google Home, wireless speakers, and similar devices. Similarly, Bluetooth is also used to connect devices together. Example of such are smartphones computer, digital cameras, computers, wireless headsets, keyboards mice or other input devices, and similardevices. The devices, like. those previously mentioned) might have both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability or any other wireless method to communicate with each other. The number of inter-networked devices with wireless capabilities to connect with one other(“connected devices”) and also their wireless connectivity is anticipated to continue to increase. Furthermore connected devices could be connected using various cellular communication systems for example, the Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, a CodeDivision Multiple Access (CDMA) system or a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) system, a wireless local area network (WLAN) system or a different wireless network. A CDMA system may implement Wideband CDMA (WCDMA), CDMA 1.times., Evolution-DataOptimized (EVDO), Time Division Synchronous CDMA (TD-SCDMA), or some other version of CDMA.
In recent times wireless communication technology, such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi have enabled control of multiple devices that are connected to an intermediary device, i.e., a hub device (e.g. Amazon Echo Speaker). Amazon Echo Speaker). Control and interaction isfacilitated through automatic speech recognition (“ASR”) technology. As an example, a hub device can be linked to different “target devices,” such as, lightbulbs, outlets and alarm systems, thermostats, garage doors, televisions as well as a vehicle or appliance.ASR lets you use a word or phrase e.g. to alert the hub device to an incoming voice signal, “Alexa” can be utilized. These devices can be able to receive voice commands directly, without the need of an external hub device. For instance, a Samsung Smart TV, i.e. TV, has ASR technology that permits the volume and channel to be controlled by a “channel up” command.
In the future, as connected devices adopt ASR technology, controlling them with voice commands could present new challenges and also opportunities.
The various embodiments include ways to enable the command device to include at least one processor that create a wireless connection, via one or more wireless channels, between the command device and a remote device, generate an intention code, select a remote device based on the intention code, initiate an wireless transfer, via one or more wireless channels of the existing wireless connection of an intention code, be informed that the intention code successfully transferred to the remote device, and then control the remote device, in accordance with the intention code transmitted to the remote device through the one or more of the wireless channels that make up the established wireless connection between the command device and theremote device. The command device might also contain a gesture detector that is connected to one or more processors, capable of detecting the movement. Based on the gesture detected the intention code can be generated. The command device may contain a camera, which is linked to one or more processors. It could also have an eye gaze tracker which detects the eye gaze. The intention code could be based on eye gaze detection. An embodiment does not place the remote device and command device within the same acoustic area. A different embodiment puts the remote device and command device in a shared space.
There are various ways to accomplish this. include a method of creating a wireless connection via one or more wireless channels between a command device and a remote device, and creating an intention code by means of a processor. an intention code. The method can also involve choosing a remote device based on the intention code, and sending an intention code to one several wireless channels that are part of the established wireless connection. Furthermore, the method can include controlling theremote device, using the intention code sent to the remote device, via one or more wireless channels of the established wireless connection between the command device and the remote device. The method in its preferred embodiment does not put the command device and the remote device within the same acoustic environment. A different arrangement places the remote device and command device in a common acoustic area.
Another version has the command device coupled to the vehicle. The remote device is not installed on or inside the vehicle.
There are many embodiments that include an apparatus for setting up wireless connections between the command device (or remote device) and one or more wireless channels. Additionally the device can generate an intentioncode. Additionally, the device might include means to select the remote device that is based on the intention code and means for initiating an wireless transfer, using one or more wireless channels in the established wireless connection, of an intentioncod. The device could also have methods for acknowledging that the intention code has been successfully transmitted to remote devices, as well as methods to control the remote devices using the intention codes transmitted to them by one or more channels of the wireless link that connects the command device (and the remote) and the remote.
A variety of embodiments comprise an untransitory computer-readable storage medium that is able to store instructions.
